Fishing Report
8th May 2017
With high winds on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week we had to take the decision to close the fishery. This left the field wide open for our Spring Open competition on Saturday with nobody being able to get any practice sessions in beforehand!
Saturday started bright and breezy and after a staggered start at 9am the 18 boats had until 5pm to catch the 6 biggest fish they could find! The boats were spread across the reservoir with many choosing to head over to Fishtail Creek. The weather improved throughout the day ending with some sunshine and light winds. The day was a success with most anglers bagging up and then continuing to catch and release for the rest of the day.
We also played host to the TEFF competition on Sunday and with 328 fish caught by 28 anglers it proved to be another good day for fishing!
We had 3 tagged fish caught over the weekend taking us to a total of 13 caught.
